The Closing Company to help children have merrier holiday

BY LEE STEPHENS

The Closing Company, a title and settlement service provider in Miami-Dade and Broward counties, has announced it will donate 5 percent of its closing proceeds during the month of December to the Redland Christian Migrant Association (RCMA).

In addition, the company will provide the facility in Homestead a Christmas tree, decorations, pizza party and a visit from Old Saint Nicholas for the 174 children cared for at this center. Sellers and buyers completing their transactions at a Closing Company office will have an opportunity to make a voluntary donation directly to RCMA.

RCMA provides quality childcare for migrant and disadvantaged rural children throughout Florida. RCMA also is involved actively in increasing public awareness of the lifestyle of migrant workers and seasonal farm workers, and provides families support services and educational opportunities to improve the health and general welfare of migrant families.

"As a small business handling real estate closings on a daily basis in one of America's most prosperous markets, we ant to improve, if only in a small way, the lives of the less privileged in our community," said Martyn Verster, lead attorney for The Closing Company. "RCMA is very committed to these families who need financial support to pay for the extras not in their regular budget," Verster said.

The Closing Company's staff of six employees will participate in the holiday festivities Dec. 23 at the RCMA center.
